International toll-free access numbers

Toll-free access numbers are available to the PeopleSoft internal voice network in Europe and Australia. These numbers cannot be used to RAS into the PeopleSoft network with your computer.

What does this mean?
By dialing an in-country toll-free number you can connect to our internal voice network. Subsequently, this will allow you to dial direct to any number, in any PeopleSoft office while taking advantage of substantially reduced tariffs.

How does it work?
It works in a manner similar to internal dialing from within a PeopleSoft office, with one minor exception.

Internally: Dial 6-PSH(774)-2663. The number 6 accesses the internal network, PSH is the three-letter location code, and 2663 is one of the extensions used to access Meeting Place.

Externally: Dial the appropriate number listed below to access the internal network. Then dial PSH(774)-2663 to access the conference bridge.
Note: Do not dial 6 after entering the toll-free number. Instead, just wait for the dial tone.

What are the actual cost savings?
By using the internal voice network, we take advantage of the standard rates of USD .17c per minute throughout the network. This is opposed to International direct dial rates from outside the office, which vary from region to region, but are considerably higher. The toll-free numbers also negate the use of calling cards for internal network access.

Note: It is not possible to dial outside of the PeopleSoft voice network using the toll-free numbers.
