Why not Upgrade?
Why don't we just upgrade one of our existing systems such as APRD or Gromit?
APRD is running into capacity limits and doesn't have the relational database capability to meet today's needs. Gromit is based on the old Vantive Quality product, which requires a "fat" client on each machine, and will be retired from support in a couple of years. By virtue of being developed with PeopleTools 8, ICE will have a long lifetime and will integrate much more easily with other PeopleSoft infrastructure systems which were also developed using PeopleTools.
