Sluggish Response when Opening Pre-Lead Run Control File

Document number: 11510

You have noted sluggish response time when opening a Pre-lead run control file.

Slow system response is usually noted when loading a large control file because it usually takes longer to open. The threshold is 400 rows; anything larger than this significantly degrades performance.

Following are the suggested work arounds for different stages of working with a Pre-lead control file.

If you have already loaded a large pre-lead file :

  1. Save a copy of the initial spreadsheet.
  2. Delete rows from the spreadsheet that represent the pre-leads that have already been processed.
  3. Divide the remaining spreadsheet into separate files if there are more than 400 rows left.
  4. Log in to Customer1, open the run control, delete the spreadsheet from the run control, add the new spreadsheet, and run the import. This wipes out the previously imported pre-lead and replaces it with the revised, smaller set.

If you are about to load/import a spreadsheet that is over 400 rows, divide it into multiple files and use a different run control id for each file.

To handle assignment of pre-leads, you can do one of two things:
