Creating a Representative
As you are preparing to create a new representative, please keep the following in mind:
Representative Tab
Used to define basic information such as the representative's name, title, profile info, and address summary. The Name, Address, Phone, Pager, and Email sub-pages are used to store and display this respective information.
Company Tab
Used to store and display the list of companies with which the representative is associated.
Notes / Attachments Tab
Used to record details and miscellaneous information about the representative. Make sure to add notes in the appropriate place. This often means adding them at the Company, Lead, or Opportunity level rather than simply adding them to the Representative, where they might be overlooked.
Roles Tab
Used to identify and describe the different functions that the representative takes on during the relationship with PeopleSoft. Examples of representative roles include Person and Worker.
Relationships Tab
Provides the ability to view and create relationships with Roles. Relationships are internal or external contact paths between objects such as Sites, Representatives, and Companies.
User Profile
Used by the Call Center to provide the ability to set the user ID and password for the representative's access to self-service.
History Tab
Used to keep an audit trail of specific fields within the Representative component.
