Creating a Representative

As you are preparing to create a new representative, please keep the following in mind:

  1. Navigate to Customers, Representative.

  2. Click on the Create New Representative tab.

  3. Complete the Required header fields: First Name, Last Name, and Company Name.

  4. Click the Representative Lookup button. If no match found, check whether the company address matches the representative address. If not, deselect it by un-checking the default address, type the new address, and click the Create Representative button.

  5. Update additional information and enter as much information as you have into the remaining fields including the business required fields: Phone Number and Email Address.

  6. Save the Representative.

Representative Tab

Used to define basic information such as the representative's name, title, profile info, and address summary. The Name, Address, Phone, Pager, and Email sub-pages are used to store and display this respective information.

Company Tab

Used to store and display the list of companies with which the representative is associated.

Notes / Attachments Tab

Used to record details and miscellaneous information about the representative. Make sure to add notes in the appropriate place. This often means adding them at the Company, Lead, or Opportunity level rather than simply adding them to the Representative, where they might be overlooked.

Roles Tab

Used to identify and describe the different functions that the representative takes on during the relationship with PeopleSoft. Examples of representative roles include Person and Worker.

Relationships Tab

Provides the ability to view and create relationships with Roles. Relationships are internal or external contact paths between objects such as Sites, Representatives, and Companies.

User Profile

Used by the Call Center to provide the ability to set the user ID and password for the representative's access to self-service.

History Tab

Used to keep an audit trail of specific fields within the Representative component.
