The Provider Group component maintains lists of employees specializing in expertise on products. Group records display competencies and criteria based on product knowledge.

Parent Provider Group is a new concept for Customer1. Now multiple provider groups can be related to the same parent provider group. This option allows reporting on higher-level business areas in a business unit. For example, Customer Care functions as the parent provider group of Customer Care NA, Customer Care APAC, Customer Care LATAM and Customer Care EMEA.

As another example, CRM functions as the parent provider group for CRM-related provider groups.
