The creation of the PACSOP database is part of the Order Management - Product Delivery (OMPD) Integration project. The goal of this project is to achieve a single system of record for all product configurations as well as a single system for order management and product delivery. The project will achieve the following objectives:

• A combined product configuration environment that accommodates the business needs for the Enterprise, EnterpriseOne and World product families.
  
  
• A single system will process orders for the PeopleSoft Enterprise, PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne, and PeopleSoft World product families.
  
  
• Product Delivery has consolidated shipping to two locations, both managed through a single system: Denver, Colorado, and Dublin, Ireland. Denver handles shipping within the United States, and Dublin handles product delivery for the rest of the world.
  
  
• PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne and PeopleSoft World license-profile and installed-product information will move to Psynergy/FSCM.

The objectives will be implemented in the following systems:

• Product Configuration for all product lines will be handled in PACSOP.
  
  
• Software ordering and shipping for all product families will be processed in Psynergy/FSCM.
  
  
• Product Delivery - Consolidation to two locations (Denver, Colorado, and Dublin, Ireland)
  
  
• PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne and PeopleSoft World license-profile and installed-product information will be converted to Psynergy/FSCM.

PACSOP

The new PACSOP system is being created specifically to:

1. Provide a combined product configuration environment that accommodates the business needs for the Enterprise, EnterpriseOne and World product families.
   
   
2. Enable Psynergy/FSCM to utilize this combined product configurator to support the shipment of all PeopleSoft products for all product families. In addition to product configuration functions, PACSOP will also provide some systematic release management support to EnterpriseOne and World organizations.

Information about EnterpriseOne and World releases will be entered in SRP for system distribution purposes. SRP is the single system that feeds product data to other PeopleSoft systems such as ICE and C1. Enterprise uses SRP to actively manage all release activities. EnterpriseOne and World release information in SRP will be to structurally define a release; for example, products associated with a Release Level, newly created or changed products, and the Product to License Group relationships.

The definition of what will be physically delivered to a customer will be created and maintained in PACSOP for all EnterpriseOne and World releases. These components are referred to as Parts, SKU's, and Item Deliverables. Other release parameters will be maintained in the EBOM which replaces the Bill of Materials spreadsheet that was used by the EnterpriseOne and World teams. The EBOM will equal the function of the SRP Activity. Products, Item Deliverables, Dependencies, and deliverable attributes will be defined on the EBOM for releases, and will be used to create release Ordinals.
