How to attend a WebEx meeting
To attend a WebEx meeting, a user does not need a user name or password. Only people who will be hosting or creating WebEx meetings need a WebEx user name and password.
An invitee will usually receive an e-mail invitation from the person hosting the meeting with the meeting specifics such as the date and time, meeting number, password and if it is an unlisted meeting. If the invitation states that registration is required, the attendee must register prior to attempting to join the meeting.
To join a WebEx meeting:
Launch PeopleSoft's WebEx site at http://peoplesoft.webex.com.
The meeting will now open and the user will be listed as an attendee.
If the invitation to the WebEx meeting states that registration is required, the attendee must register prior to attempting to join the meeting.
To register for a WebEx meeting:
The Registration Confirmed page will appear once the invitee has registered. This page contains most of the meeting information with the exception of the password. The invitee will get the meeting password in the e-mail confirmation of their registration.
Note: The e-mail confirmation of the registration is generated when the meeting host accepts the invitee's registration request. If the invitee has not received the e-mail confirmation with the meeting information including the password, they should contact the meeting host to ask them to accept the registration request immediately.
Once the invitee receives the registration confirmation, they should follow the steps outlined on the previous page for how to join the meeting.
