The Sametime Connect window

There are many different features and options in the main Sametime Connect window. Here is a brief overview of the Sametime Connect Window:

    • scplussign.gif (853 bytes) indicates that the group is collapsed, or that the members are not visible. By clicking on this symbol, it will show all of the group members.

    • scminussign.gif (841 bytes) indicates that the group is expanded, or that the members are visible. By clicking on this symbol, it will hide all of the group members.
    • scpersonalgroup.gif (900 bytes) indicates a Sametime Connect personal group the user has created.

    • scpublicgroup.gif (905 bytes) indicates a Sametime Connect public group which has been added from the PeopleSoft Directory.
    • A green square ( ) next to a user's name indicates that they are active and available. Instant messages can be sent to this user.

    • A yellow diamond ( ) next to a user's name indicates their online status is set to Away. Instant messages can be sent to this user for viewing when they return.

    • A circle with a slash ( scdonotdisturb.gif (859 bytes)) indicates that the user is in Do Not Disturb mode. Instant messages cannot be sent to this user.
    • Sametime window: Alerts you to recent status changes of your Connect contacts.

    • Message window: Indicates when your partner is typing a response.
