Checklist for database deployment in Lotus Notes
A Notes/Domino database must have the following in place before it can be deployed within the PeopleSoft network:
Access Control List (ACL): The
ACL lists who can access the database and with what privileges.

Category: All databases must have
a category listed on the database properties.

the name of the database manager and the name of a backup database manager.

All required categories must be documented. For an example of the documentation required, click here to open the Development Standards database. Once the database is open, click the General/All link in the Applications section in the left hand navigation window. Double click on the Standard Documentation - Forms & Views to open the document that outlines the requirements.
All elements of the database such as the forms, views, agents, etc. must perform without error.
The person deploying the database will check the Domain Catalog to see what databases the requester is currently a manager of and if those databases are still being used.
The Notes Developer will work with you to have the database deployed (click here for details). You must take an active part in defining the servers the database should be deployed to.
After the application has been thoroughly reviewed and tested, it can be deployed into the production environment. To request a database to be deployed, a NorthStar request must be submitted.
To submit the NorthStar request:
Log on to NorthStar (http://northstar.peoplesoft.com).
Click the Log Service Ticket link in the Submit Tickets section in the left hand navigation panel.
Click the Lotus Notes radio button and click Next>.
What type of problem are you having?: Click the down arrow and
select " I need to deploy a database."
Subject: Type "
Database name has been reviewed and is ready
to be deployed."
Description: Enter any other specific details about the database
that should be included.
Click Next>.
Current Database Location: Enter the server name (such as PSTEST1)
or path to the current location of the database.
Desired Database Location: Enter the name of all of the
servers that the database should be deployed to. The developer
will have assisted you in determining which servers the database should
be located on.
The request has been submitted. It will be escalated to a Notes Administrator who will deploy the database to the servers requested.

Use the following list to assist in the deployment of Notes databases. The list shows all of the notes application servers along with the associated hub server. You must deploy the database to the hub server and then make the replicas from the hub server for each region.
PSPAPPS5/PeopleSoft (psh-note-19)
PSPAPPS3/PeopleSoft (psp-note-02)
PSPAPPS7/PeopleSoft (psh-note-28)
Replication to Regional Servers
Applications deployed to PSP_APPS1/Ple/PeopleSoft, PSPAPPS3/PeopleSoft
or PSPAPPS7/PeopleSoft can also be replicated to regional servers as needed.
In this case replicas also need to be created on the appropriate HUB servers
(APPHUB01/PeopleSoft, TEA_HUB1/Tea/PeopleSoft, AMS_HUB1/Ams/PeopleSoft,
SYD_HUB1/Aus/PeopleSoft). HUB servers are for replication only.
Do not create replicas on HUB servers as backup copies
as they will be deleted if found.
