Checklist for database deployment in Lotus Notes

A Notes/Domino database must have the following in place before it can be deployed within the PeopleSoft network:

 

 


After the application has been thoroughly reviewed and tested, it can be deployed into the production environment. To request a database to be deployed, a NorthStar request must be submitted.

To submit the NorthStar request:

  1. Log on to NorthStar (http://northstar.peoplesoft.com).

  2. Click the Log Service Ticket link in the Submit Tickets section in the left hand navigation panel.

  3. Click the Lotus Notes radio button and click Next>.

  4. What type of problem are you having?: Click the down arrow and select " I need to deploy a database."
    Subject: Type " Database name has been reviewed and is ready to be deployed."
    Description: Enter any other specific details about the database that should be included.

  5. Click Next>.

  6. Current Database Location: Enter the server name (such as PSTEST1) or path to the current location of the database.
    Desired Database Location: Enter the name of all of the servers that the database should be deployed to. The developer will have assisted you in determining which servers the database should be located on.

  7. Click the Finish button.

The request has been submitted. It will be escalated to a Notes Administrator who will deploy the database to the servers requested.

Server list:

Use the following list to assist in the deployment of Notes databases. The list shows all of the notes application servers along with the associated hub server. You must deploy the database to the hub server and then make the replicas from the hub server for each region.
