Now you are ready to selectively restore files.
See Eureka! document
11233 — How to restore files in Connected TLM (Connected Backup). Most files can be restored to their original locations in your file structure. Be careful about what you choose to restore. Data files like word documents, excel documents, databases, graphics, presentations, visios etc. can usually be copied back to their original locations without a problem. Do not be in a rush to restore. You have sixty days from the time you made the backup to restore files. If you open Connected and the screen opens to a Registration Wizard
then you still need to configure your account. See Eureka! document
11230 — Restoring an existing Connected TLM (Connected Backup) account.
If your work requires software that is not part of the standard build you will need to reload the software through SMS or manually installing the application. This might include applications such as Visio, MicroSoft Project, SQL, etc. Before loading or requesting the software make sure your manager agrees that it is appropriate and still necessary. You will need to open a NothStar Ticket to have software pushed to you from SMS. Be sure to leave a contact number and let them know what applications you had that you need to get back. To open a NorthStar Ticket, click here or see document 70001 — How to create a service request in NorthStar.
Use these links to install the software you will need that is non-standard on a PeopleSoft build computer:
You will first want to make sure that you have an SMS client. See Eureka! document 12040 — Verifying the SMS Client is Installed.
You will want to make sure that you have iPass installed. See Eureka! document 52308 — Installing iPass on a legacy J.D. Edwards machine.
You will then want to ensure that you have the correct Connection Entries in your Cisco VPN client. See Eureka! document 52204 — Importing connection entries into Cisco VPN.
Restore your drive mappings. If you had certain drive letters permanently mapped to certain network resources you can restore them. Do not, however, map to N:, P:, or Z:. The N: and P: drive letters are reserved for mappings used by PeopleSoft logon scripts. Even though you may not see that Z; is being used, do not map to it. It is used for certain logon procedures. See Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a network drive
Restore your printer mappings. See Eureka! document 40010 — How to add printers
Restore any schedule changes. If you changed the default settings for scheduling backups or similar tasks you may want to reapply your chosen schedule. See, e.g., Eureka! documents

Restore your personalized work environment.
