The following steps will walk you through automatically updating your McAfee virus definitions.

1. Go to Start.

2. Go to Programs.

3. Go to Network Associates.

4. Left click on VirusScan Console.

5. Click AutoUpdate.

6. Select Start.

If the Auto Update does not work properly you can download the update manually update from the McAfee web site by following the instructions below.

The following steps will walk you through manually downloading your McAfee virus definitions.

1. Go to the following link http://download.mcafee.com/updates/4xa.asp?as=false&ref=5.

2. Scroll down below the advertisements.

3. Click on Download.

4. In the File Download window click Open.

   Or

5. Select Run this program from is selected location

6. Click OK

7. You will now see the Network Associates SuperDAT wizard, click Next and follow the prompts until the wizard is complete.
