Cannot minimize Excel window
The difficulty you are experiencing is that you have lost the status information at the bottom of your Excel window, the control boxes at the top right-hand corner of your Excel screen, or any icons or buttons below your menus. Also, you cannot minimize your Excel window, although you can minimize all the spreadsheets that appear.
To solve this, you need to turn off the "full screen" mode in Excel. Follow these steps:
Click on the View menu.
Click on F ull Screen.
You should be able to see all the items listed above.
