The difficulty you are experiencing is that the Customer1 pushbutton for the Excel-based Price Calculator does not appear to work at all when you click on the button. An additional symptom is that the "Enable macros" dialog screen does not appear when you attempt to launch the calculator macro in Excel 2000.

To solve this, you need to change the macro security setting in Excel 2000 to Medium so that you will prompted if a macro attempts to launch in Excel 2000. If your security setting is set to "High," a macro may not load at all, and therefore won't work. Follow these steps to check and change the Security setting:

Note: These steps apply only to Excel 2000, not Excel 97.

1. Launch Excel 2000. Make sure there are no open spreadsheets upon which you are working.

2. Click on the Tools menu, then on Macro, then Security...

3. The Security screen appears. Make sure you are on the Security Level tab.

4. Choose Medium. You can choose whether or not to run potentially unsafe macros.

5. Click OK.

6. Close and reopen Excel and try again.

The "Enable macros" dialog screen should now appear when a macro attempts to load in Excel 2000 and the Customer1 Price Calculator should work.
