PKZIP is the standard file compression software at PeopleSoft. PKZIP was chosen for its ability to handle the compression of very large files. PKZIP is limited only by the size of your hard drive. If you download WinZip onto your PeopleSoft machine from an external source, it will not supported.

Following are some important features of and information about PKZIP:

• Compability with WinZip: Files zipped with WinZip may be extracted using PKZIP, and vice versa.
• 15201 — How to launch PKZIP
• 15095 — How zip files using PKZIP
• 15096 — How to unzip files using PKZIP
