Access to Competency Management

Not all employees have access to Competency Management. Access to Competency Management is given to users based on job role. Check with your manager to make sure you should have access.

Make sure that you log on properly to Competency Management — see Eureka! document 15202 — How to log into Competency Management. If after you log in, you cannot see the links for Competency Management under Self Service -> Employee -> Tasks, open a NorthStar ticket. Follow these steps:

  1. Launch NorthStar web (http://northstar) and log in, if necessary.

  2. On the left side of the screen, click on Log Service Ticket.

  3. Fill in your contact information and click Next.

  4. Choose Software Applications and click Next.

  5. Next to the field for "What application are you using?", choose HRDB.

  6. Next to the field for "What problem are you experiencing?", choose I have a Competency Management issue.

  7. Enter your operating system information.

  8. Enter your connection information.

  9. In the Subject field, enter I need access to Competency Management.

  10. In the Description field, enter information about your job role that you feel is relevant to the fact that you need access to Competency Management, such as your job code.

  11. Click Finish.

Your request is submitted.
