How to close a service order in Resource Management

Note: Only Resourcers may perform this function.

Service orders close automatically in the system when all resource request lines have been closed (fulfilled) via assignment creation.

Resourcers may also manually close service orders by following the general steps below. (For more detailed steps, click here.)

  1. Cancel resource request assignments(s) that are unfulfilled.

  2. Close Resource Request line(s).

  3. Close Service Order.

Closing a service order

Service orders close automatically in the system when all resource request lines have been closed (fulfilled) via assignment creation. Resourcers may also manually close service orders by following the steps below

  1. Open the Service Order.

  2. Cancel all the assignments on the Open Resource Request lines (including assignments in Proposed status).

  3. Once you have canceled the open assignments, change the Resource Request line status to Closed.

  4. Change the Service Order status to Closed.

  5. Save the Service Order page.

The Service Order should now be closed.
