How to verify that you are over the 750 MB quota

Document number: 15325

The Connected software quota is 750 MB of files selected for backup. A set of files has already been selected by default when Connected software is installed (see Eureka! document 15293 — Files backed by default in Connected software). The selected files include ALL files in c:\user and its subfolders.

To verify that you are over the 750 MB quota in Connected software, follow these steps:

  1. Launch your Connected software.

  2. Click on the Backup View tab.

  3. Wait for the information to load.

  4. On the left side of the screen, there is file information. See the screenshot below. The screenshot applies to Connected DataProtector (version 7.1) as well. The critical quota information is where the cursor pointing to in the screenshot - Total selection:

    • x files to back up indicates how many files have been either newly selected or modified and now need to be backed up during the next Connected TLM Backup session.
    • x MB of file data indicates the number of megabytes of the files that need to be backed up.
    • Total selection: is the total number of megabytes of the files that have been selected for backup, either by default, or by you. That number is the one counted against the 750 MB quota.

The Total Selection indicates the number of files selected for backup and counted against the 750 MB Connected software quota.
