How to change the template location in Microsoft Word
In Microsoft Word, templates can be used for pre-written documents. If you would like to change the default templates that are used, the path of the templates needs to be modified.
To change the template path in Microsoft Word:
Launch Microsoft Word.
Click Tools from the menu bar and click Options... from the drop down menu.
Click the File Locations tab.
In the File Types: field, highlight the type of template you wish to change by single clicking on it.
Click the Modify... button.
Change the path in the Folder name: field to the location of the templates you wish to use and click OK.
When you are done modifying all template paths, click Close to go back to Microsoft Word.
Once the path has been changed, the templates in the new location should be available.
