How to hide columns in Microsoft Excel

In Microsoft Excel, columns can be hidden for ease of viewing or working on a spreadsheet. One or several columns can be hidden. They can be selected to be hidden on multiple pages as well.

To hide columns in Microsoft Excel:

  1. Hold the {Ctrl} and {Alt} keys down simultaneously and select the sheets you wish columns to be hidden on by single clicking on the tab name for each sheet.

  2. Hold the {Ctrl} key down and select the columns you wish to hide.

  3. Select F ormat from the menu bar.

  4. Select Column and select Hide.

The columns should now be hidden on each page selected.

Note: If columns are hidden and you wish to unhide them, click on F ormat, then Column, and then Unhide.
