How to verify automatic text wrap for Lotus Notes documents

Document number: 16079

If you are creating or responding to a document in Lotus Notes and your text is not wrapping (automatic return to next line), you need to check the text wrap alignment properties to ensure you do not have the No Wrap feature enabled.

To check the text wrap alignment properties:

  1. Open the document you are creating and make sure your cursor is in the text field.

  2. Select Text from the menu bar.

  3. Select Align Paragraph from the drop down menu.

  4. There should be no check mark next to No Wrap for your text to automatically wrap.

If there is a check mark next to No Wrap, select the alignment you prefer by clicking your cursor over the setting. The standard setting is Left.

If there is not a check mark next to No Wrap, your text should automatically wrap when creating a document.  Try to create a new document and if the text continues not to automatically wrap, contact Technical Support Operations for further assistance.

Note:  If you copy or cut and paste text from another source such as a Microsoft Word document, text from a Web site, etc., the text will not automatically wrap in Lotus Notes. You need to manually wrap it.
