In Internet Explorer, the view settings can be changed so that the browser takes over the entire screen allowing for more viewing space.  If the settings are changed to view a full screen, the toolbars, and the minimize and maximize buttons will no longer be viewable. If when you click on a link the new window opens too small you can reset the default window open size.

There are two ways to change the view settings to a full screen in Internet Explorer:

Open Internet Explorer.

• Select View from the menu bar and then select Full Screen from the drop down menu.

or

• Click the Fullscreen icon on the icon bar.

Once you have done one of the above, the viewing area in Internet Explorer will be the full screen.

To change the view settings to a normal screen in Internet Explorer:

• Click the icon with two screens on the icon bar.

  • If you run your mouse over the icon, it will say " Fullscreen."

The viewing area in Internet Explorer is now a normal screen.

To make Internet Explorer open a new window of a particular size:

1. Close all open windows and applications.
2. Open one Internet Explorer window.
3. Resize it manually as follows:
• Place your cursor on the edge of the window.
• When the cursor changes to an arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag the edge to make the window the proper size.
• Hold down the { Ctrl} key and click the X on the upper right corner to close.
• Visit another web site. Right click on a link and select Open in new window.
• The new window should now be the desired size.
