Host server names for Sametime Connect
If the Sametime Connect host server name has become blank or one of the following error messages has been received:
the server name must be defined/added prior to being able to access Sametime again. The host server name may also be redefined if a user has moved locations.
To define/add the Sametime Connect host server name if the field is blank:
Open Sametime Connect.
Sametime fails to launch: Click the
Connectivity... button when the
Logon to Sametime window appears asking for the
User name and
Password.
Sametime launches and you only need to change your Sametime host server name: Click

ptions from the menu bar and select
P
references from the drop down list.
Click the Sametime Connectivity tab.
The host server is defined by user location. Type one of the following servers (listed in italics) in the Host window in the Sametime server section:
AsiaPac, North and South America: PSH-SAMETIME-01.PEOPLESOFT.COM:
Europe:
AMS-SAMETIME-01.PEOPLESOFT.COM
Legacy JD Edwards and Denver based employees:
DEN-SAMETIME-01.PEOPLESOFT.COM
Note: The entire server name including the
.PEOPLESOFT.COM must be added. Otherwise, Sametime will not connect to the server properly.
Click OK.
You should now be able to successfully log on to Sametime Connect.
The host server name may also be defined through the Sametime Connect Preferences option. For information on how to define the host server name from the Preferences option, click here.

Open Sametime Connect.
Select Options from the menu bar and select Preferences... from the drop down menu.
Click the Sametime Connectivity tab.

The next time Sametime Connect is launched, it will connect to the new server defined.
