How to delete the qnc.exe file
The qnc.exe file contains information needed to save and store information for Lotus Notes crashes. Occasionally, this file can become corrupt and must be deleted.
To delete the qnc.exe file:
Exit Lotus Notes completely.
NOTE: Lotus Notes must not be opened when the qnc.exe file is being deleted as further corruption can occur.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the c:\apps\notes directory.
Scroll in the right side pane until you see the qnc.exe file.
Right mouse click on the qnc.exe file and select Delete from the drop down menu.
A pop up window that says "Are you sure you want to send 'qnc.exe' to the Recycle Bin?" will appear. Click Yes to continue.
The qnc.exe file has now been deleted and the Lotus Notes cache should be deleted. For information on how to delete the Lotus Notes cache, see Eureka! document 16107 — How to delete the Lotus Notes cache.
