How to show only common name on external mail sent in Lotus Notes
When an external message is sent via Lotus Notes mail, it will often contain the /PeopleSoft as part of the sender's name or their entire Internet address of firstname_lastname@peoplesoft.com. Domain or organizational addresses are necessary when sending external e-mail from PeopleSoft. The router uses this address to format the reply address. If the address is missing or not in the proper format, the recipient will be unable to reply to your message. The location document can be edited to specify the common name in addition to the domain name. This will cause only the common name to appear in the From: or Who: field for most recipients of external messages.
NOTE: All external email and messaging systems function a little bit differently. Editing the location document does not guarantee that the organizational name will not appear in every external message sent.
