How to test the computer audio setup for a Enterprise Webcast (Interwise) iMeeting

Document number: 16194

When using either an external headset and microphone or the built-in microphone on a laptop computer, an audio test should be done prior to participating in a Enterprise Webcast (Interwise) iMeeting.

The audio can be tested two ways:

After joining the iMeeting.

From the iMeeting invitation.

Whichever method is used to test the audio setup, it is recommended that the audio test is done at least 15 minutes prior to the meeting start time.

To test the audio after joining the iMeeting:

  1. Enter the meeting by clicking the link provided in the meeting invitation or from the main Communications Center screen.

  2. Select Audio/Video from the menu bar, then select Audio Setup Wizard.

  3. A window will appear that says, "You have chosen to start the Audio Setup Wizard. You will be disconnected automatically from the Event. Upon completion of the Wizard you will be automatically reconnected. Click OK to continue." Click OK.

  4. When the Interwise Audio Setup Wizard appears, check steps 1 and 2, then click the Next>> button.

  5. Click the Play button below the speaker volume control.

  6. Adjust the speaker volume by moving the slider button to the right (louder) or left (softer) and click Next>>.

  7. To record a short test message, press the Record (red circle) button, speak into the microphone and click the Stop (square) button. To hear the message, click the Play button and click Next>> to continue.

  8. Click Finish>> to close the audio wizard.

The audio has now been setup and is ready to be used at the iMeeting.
