The Messaging and Groupware team administers and maintains the Managers distribution lists. The lists are automatically updated weekly, based on HRDB data.

There are many occasions when PeopleSoft leaders or departments need to send information to the company’s managers. The Managers distribution lists include the following job levels:

• Reporting Managers (those who have direct reports and/or departmental budgeting responsibility)
• All Directors
• All VPs

The Managers lists are also broken out by region: North America (NA), EMEA, Latin America (LATAM), AsiaPac, and Japan. For example, the VP lists are structured as follows:

• Managers - VPs AsiaPac
• Managers - VPs EMEA
• Managers - VPs Japan
• Managers - VPs LATAM
• Managers - VPs NA

If your status changes and you become a manager with direct reports or are promoted to director or VP, you will be added to the coordinating distribution lists within 7 days from the date that your job title is changed in HRDB.

Note: If you (or your manager) do not update your status in HRDB, the system will not know to change your status on the Managers distribution list.

If you have had manager status for longer than a week and you are not listed in a Managers distribution list, have your manager check your HRDB status and modify if necessary. The lists are updated weekly via an automated HR process and are not available for update in NorthStar web group modification.

To see the various Managers distribution lists:

1. Open the PeopleSoft Directory.
   The default location of the bookmark for the PeopleSoft Directory is the Databases bookmark folder (the one with the blue book on it).
   
   
2. Click the Groups view in the left hand navigation window.
   
   
3. Type Managers and click OK.

All of the Managers distribution lists will be listed. To see the group members of a list, double click on the group name to open it.
