A self-service inquiry has been provided in Time and Expense to provide the employee with a tool to obtain quarter-to-date detail for all Time Reports submitted. This tool also indicates if the hours reported are ICPable to the Consultant. This inquiry mirrors the quarterly ICP statements sent by HR.
Project Time Detail is broken down by
project id,
activity id,
type of hours (Billable, Internal, Nonbillable) and
number of hours.
Policy Time Detail is broken down by
type of policy time and
number of hours. This detail provides the most recent adjustments to Time, not simply the original time reported.
Features of the inquiry view
How to use the inquiry view
Features of the inquiry view:
- Only Approved time reports will be in this view. Pending time reports are excluded from both the summary and the detail view.
- Global billable employees.
- Employee can only access his own information via the
Administer Expense Functions menu path.
- Managers can access their employees' information via the
Audit Expense Functions menu path.
- Determining ICPability of hours: This Inquiry View is based on the
North America ICP SQR. International countries have access to this view and may it; however, they will need to make adjustments where the ICP rules for their country differ from North America.
The following rules are used when calculating ICP for North America:
-
Billable projects: Automatically assume ICP credit.
-
Nonbillable projects: Default is no ICP credit but may be overridden by Manager in ICP.
-
Internal projects: Additional logic to check to see if the ICPable to Consultant checkbox is checked (IT_ICP_PAYOUT field on the project record). If checkbox is checked, assume ICP credit. If checkbox is not checked, no ICP credit is given.
-
Policy Time: Automatically defaults to no ICP credit, as this time is classified as Nonbillable Hours.
-
Project ID PSOFT 100023/Train ICP: This time is 50% ICPable. At this time, there is no maximum cap of hours enforced for this project/activity id. A ceiling of 40 hours will have to be monitored by the manager.
-
Project is a Product Lead project: ICP credit is given. The 10 hr/month, 30 hr/qtr maximum cap of hours is not enforced in this view, but will have to be monitored by the manager.

-
Details: A user can click on the
Details link to view hours submitted for each day, broken out by Billable, Nonbillable and Internal Hours. There is a separate row for each Project ID/Activity ID combination for Project Time. Policy Time is also identified by type of Policy Time. These hours are included as Nonbillable on the Summary View.
Details also indicate whether the hours are ICPable to the consultant and if the hours are on an adjusted Time Report. Only the most recently adjusted row of time will be provided. A Time Report that is flagged as an adjusted Time Report can indicate either a Prior Period Adjustment or a Project Manager Workbench Adjustment. Only dates with hours logged against them will show up in the detail.
Finally, there are also quarterly totals (broken out by month) for Total Hours and ICP Hours.
