Open Enrollment General Information
When you began working at PeopleSoft you were eligible to make elections for medical, dental and vision benefits. Once a year, employees in the United States and Canada are allowed to change benefits. This is known as Open Enrollment. The following are the Open Enrollment periods for this year:
United States employees: The Open Enrollment period was November 1, 2004 through November 15, 2004. Your elections will become effective January 1, 2005. This will set your Benefits elections for the plan year January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005.
During Open Enrollment, you can change all or part of your benefits elections. If you do not enter changes during the Open Enrollment period, your benefits coverage for the next plan year will automatically default to your current benefits elections (with the exception of flexible spending accounts). U.S. based employees must enter an election in the Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) and Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA) each year to renew pledge amounts.
Canadian employees: The last Re-Enrollment period was in June of 2004. This set your Benefits elections for the plan year July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005.
For detailed information on benefit options, please review the PeopleFlex Handbook or the PeopleFlex Benefits Seminar OnDemand (which will be available Nov. 1), both located on the Human Resources site on Planet PeopleSoft.
If you have questions about the U.S. Open Enrollment, please contact the Human Resources Service Center at 4PSHR or 886 534 PSHR. For more information, see Eureka! document 18165 — Contacting HR Service Center. If you have any questions regarding Canadian Re-enrollment and benefits, please contact Frankie Daughton at 925.694.8919 or Pirkko Shalden at 416.227.3067.
