How do I log into to Projects?

You will need to log into Planet PeopleSoft and use PGS Navigator to log into Projects. For complete instructions see Eureka! document 17237 — How to Log into Projects.

How do I request access to Projects?

Not all employees have access to Project Manager Workbench. Access to Project Manager Workbench is given to users based on job role. To request access you will need to open a NorthStar ticket to have your access reviewed and granted. For complete instructions see Eureka! document 17238 — How to request access to Projects.

How do I add a project to my list?

The My Projects feature will allow you to create a list of your active projects. This will allow Project Managers and Projects Administrators to quickly access their projects. To take advantage of this feature, you must first add projects to your list. You do not have to be assigned as the Project Manager or Project Administrator to have a project on your list.

How to do I change the status of a project to Open?

Do Project Managers have view access to contract pages so they can look at setup?

No, but they do have access to the project pages. If they have contract questions, they should contact the SCA for their region.

Can anyone assign people to projects?

Only a resource manager employee can assign project team members and it should only be done through the Resource Management module. No one should be entering people directly onto the project team page other than the Service Contract Administrators (SCAs) when they add themselves as project administrators.

If the standard cost of a consultant goes up during a project, but the rate to a customer remains the same, does the project start getting charged higher costs?

Yes, the project will be charged the higher cost.

Can anyone on the project be assigned the role of Project Administrator?

Yes, anyone assigned on the project can be assigned as the Project Administrator. However, they will not automatically have access to the Project Manager Workbench. If they are assigned as Project Administrator, and do not have access to the PMW, they will need to open a NorthStar ticket and request access.

If you have a Statement of Service (SOS) for a number of days in a certain period, but by the end date of the SOS all the days haven't been used, can a consultant keep entering time?

Yes, the consultants can still enter time unless the end date has been changed.

How do we handle a situation where Company A wants their invoices sent to Company B and they want both addresses show on the invoice?

We can send an invoice to a company different from the Sold To customer. We can send a duplicate copy to a separate Bill To address regardless of country.

How is work done for a prospect handled in the new system?

In the case of a project requiring work to be done for a prospective customer that will not be billed for the work, contact your regional Service Contract Administrator for assistance.
