Order Management - How To Identify and Run Reports on Order Holds

If a Hold has been associated with an order, a hold message will will be displayed in the upper right section of the order entry page. Holds could be used to stop all future orders from Customers that are behind in payment for previous orders or could be based on product license generation needs.

To get more information on the type of hold this is, follow these steps:

From the Order Entry Page, select Hold / Change Reason from the drop down box located in the lower right hand side of the page.
If there are holds associated with the Order, the description will show in the line description field.
To add a Hold, use the lookup icon ( ) to find and select the appropriate hold code. Once all information is entered you will need to click on the Save icon ( ) to add the Hold.

Hold Reports can be used to review the hold status of sales orders and to facilitate the resolution of orders on hold. The Orders on Hold Report will list all orders currently on hold by a particular Order Management Business Unit. It will show the Order Number, Order Group, Customer ID, Customer Name, Product ID, Line Number, Schedule Number, Hold Type, Hold Code, Status, Status Date, System Hold flag as well as Last Updated Date and Time and Operator ID.

To Run a Holds Report you will need to set up a Run Control. You will only need to do this once.

Log in to Planet PeopleSoft. For more information, see Eureka! Document 15270 — How to log onto Planet PeopleSoft.
Locate the Planet Navigator section on the left hand side and click the Applications link.
Click on the Financials (Psynergy/FSCM).
Click the PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Applications (Psynergy/FSCM) link.
Click on Manage Sales Activities.
Click on Maintain Sales Orders.
Click on Reports.
Click on Orders on Hold.
To set up an initial run control ID, click on the Add a New Value link at the bottom of the page.
- Enter a recognizable run control ID. Be sure to keep it specific to the process or report you are running in order to easily locate the run control in the future. Example: ORDERS_ON_HOLD_RPT.
- Click the yellow Add button.
- Enter the Business Unit, From Date and Through Date.
- The Active Holds Only box will default to checked. If you would like to see all holds, uncheck this box.
- Click the yellow Run button.
- On the Process Scheduler Request page, use the drop down box to set the Server Name to PSNT.
- Leave the default settings for Date and Time.
- Click OK. This will run the report and take you back to the previous page.
- To check the status of the report, click the Process Monitor link.
- When the report is complete, you will see the status show as Success. You can refresh the view by clicking the yellow Refresh button while checking status.
- To view the report, click the Details link.
- Click the View Log/ Trace link.

To find an existing Run Control, enter your previously set up Run Control ID on the Find an Existing Value page.
- Click the yellow Search button.
- Adjust the Business Unit, From Date and Through Date as needed.
- Click the yellow Run button.
- On the Process Scheduler Request page, use the drop down box to set the Server Name to PSNT.
- Leave the default settings for Date and Time.
- Click OK. This will run the report and take you back to the previous page.
- To check the status of the report, click the Process Monitor link.
- When the report is complete, you will see the status show as Success. You can refresh the view by clicking the yellow Refresh button while checking status.
- To view the report, click the Details link.
- Click the View Log/ Trace link.
