Pager Pay Project ID Not Available

The deadline to report pager pay is the 5th of each month. All time reported by the 5th will show on the pay check issued on the 26th. When you do submit you pager pay timesheet, be sure to include project time for your 40-hour work week. Anything reported after this date will be on the following months pay check. As of July 15, 2002, several different pager pay project IDs were consolidated into one. If you are looking for an ID that you used previously and it is not found, use Project ID 135430. If you are unable to report pager pay under the old project IDs (100058 or 100041) for time worked between July 1 - 14, 2002, have your manager submit the following information via email to Desmond Cliett for processing:

Project IDs are based on job role and department ID. If this project ID is not available, your department may need to be added to the project. To have your department added to Project ID 135430 for pager pay, contact Desmond Cliett by email or at extension 925-694-2314.


How to view your available project IDs

  1. To view available Project IDs, you will need to log into the Time and Expense application through Planet PeopleSoft and go through the steps of adding a new time report.

  2. Click on the Time link.

  3. Click the Add link

  4. On the Add New Value page enter your Employee ID number should default into the field. If not, type it in now.

  5. Enter the Period End date. The field will default to today's date. It is important to remember the work week for PeopleSoft ends on Saturday of each week. Your period end date should always be a Saturday. You can manually type in the date into the field or use the calendar icon ( )for quick entry. Once you have the calendar icon open, you can use your mouse to point to the date you wish to enter.

  6. Once you have your period end date and employee ID entered, click the yellow Add button.

  7. Select the radio box for Open a blank time report.

  8. On the General Time Report Information page enter any comments using the Comments text box. This is not mandatory but is helpful if you need to identify projects.

  9. Enter Country, State and Location. You can type this information in or use the Lookup icon ( ). Once you have clicked the icon, you can enter the beginning information in the field and let the application search for matches. You will then be able to click on the link to select one of these matches and insert that into your Time Report.

  10. Using the drop down list select your Billing Action. The default is Billable. Select Internal for pager pay.

  11. Click the yellow Continue button. This will take you to the Time Report Summary page.

  12. This page is set up in three sections, General Information, Project Time and Policy Time. General Information will have been completed from your previous screens and will show the date of this Time Report. The Project Time section is where you will enter your project and activity codes. Policy Time is where you enter your PeopleSoft benefits time such as Paid Time Off, Sick Time (outside of US) and Holidays.

  13. Click the yellow Details button.

  14. Enter your PC Business Unit, Project ID and Activity ID. You can type this information in or use the Lookup icon ( ). Once you have clicked the icon, you can enter the beginning information in the field and let the application search for matches. You will then be able to click on the link to select one of these matches and insert that into your Time Report.
    • NOTE: Selecting your PC Business Unit will define the list of Project IDs you can access. Selecting your Project ID will define the list of Activity Codes you can access. If you are having issues finding the proper codes, you should verify your entries for accuracy.
    • NOTE: Many of the former Admin Project IDs have been eliminated. This will allow better tracking of expenses overall. If you do not see the Project ID you used prior to February 2002, you will have to select one from the list provided or check with your manager for more information on which Project ID to use.
