How to Export an Actuate report
After running a report in Actuate, it is possible to export the report to a file, then import into other programs, such as Microsoft Excel or Access.
The following process exports your report into a CSV (comma-separated value) text file.
After running your Actuate report, click on the Binoculars icon (search icon).
Click on the Search tab and add fields (as described below) to limit the output from your Actuate report (i.e. State is the selected field, and the value is Nevada).
Click on the Select tab.
For each field you want exported:
Click on the field in the Acutate report to highlight it.
Click on the Add Selection button.

You can click and drag to outline an area. This highlights all fields in the selected area (verify your selection). Then click on the Add Selection button.
Once all fields needed are in the Selection, click on the Search button.
Click on the Results tab. You will see the results of your search.
Click on the Extract button.
In Extract Data to, click on the radio button next to File.
In the Miscellaneous box, for Delimiter, select comma.
Click on the Browse button and navigate to your Excel folder.
Click on the OK button.
The file will be exported from Actuate into the report filename and location you specified above. This file is easily imported into other analytical programs such as Microsoft Excel or Access.
