To access PeopleBooks online:

1. Log in to Planet PeopleSoft. For more information, see Eureka! document 15270 — How to log on to Planet PeopleSoft.

2. Locate Planet Navigator on the left side of the screen. Under Employee Resources, click Training (PSU).

3. In the right navigation, under Books and Reference, click PeopleBooks.

PeopleBooks Overview

You can use PeopleBooks documentation as a research library and as a context-sensitive online help system. It provides standard navigation and search capabilities, including an expandable table of contents, a keyword index, and full-text search.

The PeopleBooks Library is organized hierarchically, on the model of a library of books. The library's home page (index.htm) displays hyperlinks to the PeopleBook for each PeopleSoft application and PeopleTools, as well as other reference material.

The PeopleBooks interface has three main parts:

• The document itself is displayed in a document pane. This document is an HTML file, which corresponds to a book section or chapter.

• Above the document is a navigation pane. This region contains a set of display options and navigation controls. The dark blue text at the top of the pane indicates the current PeopleBook title. In the navigation path at the bottom of the pane, the bolded text shows the current chapter name.

• On the left side of the screen, you will see a reference pane containing a Content, Index, and Search tab. These tabs are used for exploring the document or locating a specific topic. The reference pane can be displayed or hidden by using the Reference Pane toggle button.
