Printing reports in WDS

Document number: 18917

When you run a report in WDS, you will need to save the pdf to the default folder "printqueue. To print reports in Worldwide Demonstration System (WDS):

  1. Change the filename of the pdf to something easy to remember, for example, YOURNAME GLPOST.pdf.  This will make the reports easier to find later.

  2. From your WDS ENVxxx desktop, open Windows Explorer. Your reports are in the B9 folder – Printqueue.

  3. Back out to your ENVIRONMENTS screen and go to the environment listing in wds.peoplesoft.com.

  4. Go into your WDS ENVxxx folder with the icons/options to:

    • copy files

    • core desktop

    • portal

  5. Select the copy files icon.

  6. The network username is OWADMIN and the password is the same as the core desktop password for this WDS ENVxxx.

  7. Open the B9 directory and then the PrintQueue directory. You will see a number of reports.

  8. At this point, the pdfs are available to move to your hard drive and you can do one of two things:

    1. Drag your WDS report folders to your desktop. Just minimize the WDS screen so your desktop shows in the background, and then drag and drop.

    2. Open Windows Explorer (right-click the Start button).
      1. Locate a folder you want to copy your reports to.
      2. Resize both windows so you can easily copy and paste from WDS to your hard drive's folder.

You should now be able to print or email your pdfs from your hard drive.
