Acrobat Exchange for Documentum

Document number: 19016

The version of Acrobat Exchange available through the Documentum installation in the Software Library has been modified to work with Documentum. The regular version of Acrobat Exchange does not have the modifications necessary to take advantage of Documentum's indexing capabilities.

If you are a user in the Contracts docbase, check to see if you already have Acrobat Distiller already on your system.

If you already have Acrobat Distiller installed, please contact Eric Hummel for specific instructions.

If you do not have either Acrobat Exchange or Acrobat Distiller installed, follow the steps below to install Acrobat Exchange from the Software Library in Lotus Notes:

  1. Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link. (You may need to look in your Databases folder for the Software library bookmark.)

If you don't have the Software Library bookmark, see Eureka! document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.

  2. Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.

  3. Click By Package Name.  This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.

  4. Scroll until you locate the Acrobat PDFWriter, Distiller entry and double-click it to open the installation instructions.

  5. Follow the instructions on the page to install the software.
