No selection for Lotus Notes as default mail client in Internet Explorer
If you have tried to follow the instructions in Eureka! document 19041 — How to set the e-mail program to Lotus Notes in Internet Explorer but Lotus Notes was not in the options list try the following solutions:
Run the Software library fix:
If that does not correct the problem change the association:
Open My Computer.
From the menu bar select Tools
Select Folder Options ...
Click on the File Types tab.
Click once in the box listing Registred file types
Press the { n} key to move to the n listings.
In the File Types column find URL:MailToProtocol. The Extensions column will be N/A
Click once on the URL:MailToProtocol line to select it
Click the Advanced button.
Click
Open in the Actions box, and then click
Edit .... Click the Application Used To Perform Action box and press {
DELETE} to delete any data in the box.
Type the following single line for the Application Used To Perform Action box for the Open command:
C:\apps\notes\notes.exe %1
If that did not resolve your problem there are additional steps you can try with the assistance of Technical Support Operations (TSO). Call TSO or submit a NorthStar ticket, including any error messages you are receiving, the steps you have tried, and the results of taking those steps.
