Can't change Planet password

Document number: 19027

There are a number of reasons why you might be able to log in to Planet, but be unable to change your password. You may get the following error message: " Can't Save Person Document in Name & Address Book. We apologize. Your request cannot be processed at this time."

The most common reason for being unable to change your Planet password is that your access rights are limited. For example, it takes a week or two for new employees to be fully processed. Since access rights are staged you will not have full access until processing is complete, but you will have other limited access rights. You may be able to login, but not perform certain tasks or access certain sites. If you are a new employee you should just wait a week or two before attempting to change your password.

Check to see if anyone else is having a problem. The error message will occur if there are problems on the server side. If others are having a problem you may want to just wait and try again later. You can also check to see if there have been any tickets put up in NorthStar.

It is always worth while taking the troubleshooting steps such as deleting your temporary internet files, or your cookies. For more information see Eureka! document 19011 — Internet Explorer FAQs and Troubleshooting steps.

Try using a different machine. If the problem continues to re-occur but you can change your Planet password on another machine then consider reloading Internet Explorer. 19014 — How to restore or reload Internet Explorer or its components.

If none of the above steps resolve the problem submit a NorthStar ticket to verify your access rights.
