If opening the Planet main page causes your machine performance to drop, check to see if you have personalized your page with the "World Clock."

1. Log in to Planet.

2. In the upper left hand corner, click the Personalize Content button.

3. Under the Reference group is World Clock. If there is a check mark next to World Clock, click on the check mark to remove it, and remove World Clock from your home page.

4. If that does not resolve your problem try the following:

1. Bring up Task Manager by pressing { Ctrl}+ { Alt} +{ Delete}.

2. Click the Task Manager button.

3. Click on the Processes Tab

4. Look under the column labled CPU to see which process is showing a high number for CPU useage. If it is "System Idle" that is normal and a running process is not the cause of the problem.

5. Check Eureka! document 69001 — What is this Process, What does it do? to see what the process is, and whether you can safely turn it off.
