ERROR: $EXECUTE$+3: Class or type name not found: CALENDARVIEWBROKER

If you receive the message $EXECUTE$+3: Class or type name not found: CALENDARVIEWBROKER when opening your calendar, follow the steps below:

  1. Exit Lotus Notes.

  2. Delete the cache.dsk file in the data folder from your Notes installation. This file is located in either the c:\apps\notes\data  or c:\lotus\notes\data directory. For information on how to find and delete this file, click here.

  3. Re-launch Notes.

  4. Click on the Calendar icon located on the Bookmark Bar.

You should no longer receive the message.

 


How to find and delete the cache.dsk file:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.

  2. Navigate to c:\apps\notes\data.

  3. Scroll down the list of files in the right pane and right-click on the cache.dsk file.

    Note: If you do not find the cache.dsk file in the c:\apps\notes\data directory, navigate to c:\lotus\notes\data.

  4. Select Delete from the drop down menu.

  5. A pop-up window appears asking " Are you sure you want to send 'cache.dsk' to the Recycle Bin?". Click Yes.
