ERROR: Document has been deleted

Document number: 23009

The Lotus Notes error Document has been deleted can occur for a variety of reasons. The primary reason is that the doclink, document or database may have been deleted. If you are sure the document has not been deleted, you may just need to refresh your person document in the PeoplePeople Directory.

  1. Double-click on the PeoplePeople Directory. If necessary, follow these steps to add the PeoplePeople Directory to your Lotus Notes desktop:
    • Click on File then select Database and click on Open....
    • In the Server: drop-down box, select your local application server. For example, at PeopleSoft Plaza, you would select PSP_APPS1.
    • In the Da tabase: scroll box, double-click on the PSFT folder, then double-click on PeoplePeople Directory.

  2. In the PeoplePeople Directory, type your last name and double-click on your person document. If you don't have a person document, you will have to wait until you are assigned an employee number from Human Resources.

  3. After you have opened your person document, click on the Close Document button.

  4. Press { Esc} to close out of the PeoplePeople Directory.

You should no longer encounter the error message. If you continue to have problems, submit a NorthStar ticket, click here, or contact Technical Support Operations so they can escalate the issue to the Notes Administrator.
