If you are getting the Seagate Crystal Reports error The library "pdssql.dll" cannot be found. Continue to open report for report viewing only? and StartPrintJob  532: Can not find database DLL. when trying to print a NorthStar client ticket using the Print Service Ticket button, you must install Microsoft SQL 2000 client. (The SQL client from version 7 is also acceptable, but for new installations, use the SQL 2000 client.)

Be sure to install the software specified below - other SQL packages may not solve the problem. That application may be found in the Software Library. Follow these steps to install Microsoft SQL 2000 client:

1. Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.

• If you don't have the Software Library bookmark click here for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.

2. Close down all other applications besides Lotus Notes.

3. Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.

4. Click By Package Name.  This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.

5. Scroll until you see the entry Database Connectivity Packages and double click on it to open it.

6. Click on the SQLServer tab.

7. Click on the button labeled Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Client with SP3a button.

8. Wait for WinInstall to load.

9. When prompted to reboot the machine, click Yes. (The reboot may be forced to occur with little warning on some machine builds.)
   

You should no longer encounter the error when you print NorthStar Service Tickets.
