If you receive the following error when trying to print NorthStar tickets:

Function psServiceTicketReport
Error: Specified DLL function not found
Error Line Number : 249
Error Number : 453

you do not have Crystal Reports installed on the machine from which you are trying to print NorthStar tickets. The error is also probably indicative of the fact that you do not have a Network Services or IT build. You may be missing other critical software, such as SQL client as well, which will cause other errors to appear when you print. For more information about that, see Eureka! document 25030 — ERROR: The library "pdssql.dll" cannot be found...

To solve this, you need to install Crystal Reports from the Software Library in Lotus Notes. Be sure that you install the correct version. Follow these steps:

1. Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.

• If you don't have the Software Library bookmark see document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.

2. Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.

3. Click By Package Name.  This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.

4. Scroll until you see the entry Crystal Reports for PeopleSoft and double click on it to open it.

5. Scroll down until you see the section for Crystal Reports 7.0 for PeopleSoft.

6. Click on the section once to expand it.

7. Follow the instructions in that section to install the software. Be sure to install the correct software.

   • Do not install the server version of Crystal Reports - you do not need it.

   • Do not install Crystal Reports version 8 - it has not been fully tested with NorthStar.

8. If you are not told to, you may wish to reboot your machine.

The error should no longer appear when you print NorthStar tickets.
