The CasePoint error

Function cpui_VantiveToOCX

Error : Invalid procedure call
Error Line Number : 88
Error Number : 5

indicates that you have an extra notes.ini file on your machine. The most likely place for this extra file is in c:\apps\notes. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Close down NorthStar client.

2. Close down Lotus Notes.

3. Using Windows 2000's Search function ( Start -> Sear ch -> For Files or Folders...), search your machine for all notes.ini files.

4. Make sure that you end up with only one version of the file (the most current one) in the c:\winnt directory.

   • You can move the most current version into c:\winnt from another directory. The most likely place for the most current file is in c:\apps\notes, but you should search the machine to make sure.

5. Delete or rename the other notes.ini files.

6. Relaunch NorthStar and try accessing CasePoint again.

The error should no longer appear.
