ERROR: You must supply the bulk decryption key in order to extract...
If you receive the Lotus Notes error message "You must supply the bulk decryption key in order to extract this file object. Could not detach to C:\ filename" when attempting to read your 401(k) statement, it may be caused by one of the following reasons:
Your user name or employee ID (emplid) does not match your profile in the PeoplePeople Directory. If your profile in the PeoplePeople Directory is incorrect, contact Tyler Johnson in the Human Resources Department to correct your profile.
Your name in Lotus Notes has a middle initial or middle name which many Lotus Notes databases do not support. To resolve this, you need to request a name change to a First Name, Last Name format with no middle initial or middle name. For information on how to request a name change in Lotus Notes, 10071 — How to change your name in Lotus Notes.
Your public encryption key needs to be re-certified into the PeopleSoft Directory by a Notes Administrator. For instructions on how to request your public key to be re-certified into the PeopleSoft Directory by a Notes Administrator, click here.
Note: The steps above apply ONLY if you are attempting to read your 401(k) statement. If you receive this error message when attempting to read a document in any other Lotus Notes database, you will need to contact Technical Support Operations for further assistance.
