Error: File does not exist: mutil5.nsf
The Lotus Notes error message "File does not exist: mutil5.nsf" followed by "Invalid or nonexistent document" and "View or Navigator '(OoO)' does not exist" after clicking OK indicates that a user is attempting to set the Out of Office agent from the local replica of the mail file or that they are offline. The specific information that a user inputs for their Out of Office notification is retained in a Lotus Notes database and not the mail file. The information must be input from the server replica and not a local one so as to get the information into the Out of Office database. The Out of Office agent cannot be set if a user is not connected to the network.
To resolve the error, open the server replica of the mail file and follow the Out of Office process. To open the server replica of the mail file (must be connected to the network):
Right mouse click on the mail file icon on the bookmark bar.
Select O pen Replica from the drop down list.
Single click on the server name below Local from the next drop down list.
The server replica of the mail file will open and the Out of Office agent can be set. For additional information, see Eureka! document 16169 — How to enable, edit and delete the Out of Office agent in Lotus Notes.
