Cause:
Airfare receipt numbers are used to distinguish similar flights from each other. If you are working on an extended project and regularly fly between two or more cities, the flights will usually have the same flight numbers, however the Airfare Receipt number for the ticket purchase will be different.

If you have entered an expense report through Mobile Time and Expense that does not have a unique airfare ticket number and have not corrected this before submitting your report to the online application, you will receive an email message with the following error statement shown above.

Resolution:
The expense report will need to be edited to correct the airfare ticket number and the report resubmitted.

  1. Log into the PeopleSoft Network.

  2. Log into Mobile Time and Expense (MTE).
For additional information, see Eureka! document 17302 — How to log into Mobile Time and Expense.

  3. Select Online from the menu bar and select Status Check from the drop down list.

  4. Click the radio button next to Expense Report.

  5. Click the Update button. Once the updated status show that the report in question is in Error Status, you will be able to open it and make corrections. Click OK to close the Status check box.

  6. Select File from the menu bar and select Open... from the drop down list.

  7. Click the radio buttons next to Expense Report and All. A list of all reports created through MTE will show in the window.

  8. Single click on the report to be edited then click on the OK button.

  9. Once the report is open, click on the line that contains the Airfare expense type.

  10. Enter the correct ticket number in the Ticket Nbr: field. If you have received this error and you have confirmed that the airfare ticket number has not already been used on a different report, add a zero as the leading digit as the ticket number to make it unique.

  11. Click the Enter button to enter the changes to the line item.

  12. Click the Save icon to save the report changes and close the report.

  13. Select Online from the menu bar and select Submit E xpense Report... from the drop down list. You must be connected to the network to submit the report.

  14. Click the OK button.

The report should now submit successfully.
