ERROR: Emergency Repair Disk is full

Document number: 29013

Sometimes when you try to create an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD) you will get the error message Repair Disk Utility could not copy all files to the Emergency Repair Disk. The Emergency Repair Disk is full. The configuration files were saved in your hard disk. It means that your system files take up more space than will fit on a floppy disk. This does not mean the ERD is useless. When you created the ERD the files in your \winnt\repair directory should also have been updated. The repair utility will look in that folder for the required information.

For more information on the Emergency Repair Disk, see document 69003.htm — How to create an emergency repair disk
