If you are getting the error " Windows evaluation notification, the evaluation period for this installation has expired, the system will shutdown in 1 hour, to restore access this installation of windows, please upgrade using a license distribution." you need to install the more recent version of Windows 2000 from the Software Library. This must be done in a PeopleSoft office.
To install Windows 2000 ugprade from the Software Library in Lotus Notes:
Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.
You may need to look in your databases folder
for the Software library bookmark
If you don't have the Software Library bookmark see document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.
Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.
Click By Package Name. This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.
Scroll until you see the entry named Windows 2000 RTM (Release to Manufacturing) ugprade and double click on it to open it.
Print out and read through the instructions before starting.
After installing the upgrade your machine should behave normally.
