When using the PeopleSoft intranet you may get an error message similar to First operand of . is NULL so cannot access member attributes (2,236). At FUNCLIB_PORTAL.TEMPLATE_FUNC.FieldFormula BuildStaticHPTemplate PCPC:12239 Statement:150. The exact error message varies so this one has also been seen First operand of . is NULL, so cannot access member Attributes. (2,236) At WEBLIB_EBIZ.TEMPLATE_FUNC.FieldFormula IScript_dyn_prev PCPC:2095 Statement:20 or First Operand of . is Null, so cannot access member GetRow. (2,236) At DERVIED_CC2COMPETENCY_ADD.FieldChange PCPC:6327 Statement:125 (Competency Management). This is a server issue. The exact text identifies which component is having the problem. It will not always affect all users, so just because someone else can access the page does not mean that the problem is local to the machine. Sometimes the error resolves itself after half an hour or so, therefore close your browser and try again later.
If the problem persists or is experienced by several people submit a NorthStar ticket providing the following information: The exact error message text, a description of what page was showing when the error occurred (ideally including the URL), the task you were trying to do and the icon or link you clicked on (again ideally including the URL) of the page attempted to be loaded.
