Verify that you have adequate power

If you are unable to start your machine at all and you can't even get to a point where you can try a reset try the steps below before submitting the machine for repair. A high pitched beeping sound indicates that your machine is running low on power. A slow flashing orange light indicates that your machine has been in suspend mode, perhaps due to lack of power.

Confirm each of the following:

If the problem you experienced was because of  inadequate power, the steps above should correct the problem. For information about improving power performance, see document 39011 — How to increase battery life on the Toshiba Tecra.

If you cannot start the machine, if the problem reoccurs, if the machine starts but then freezes or crashes, or if the problem is not resolved then open a NorthStar ticket to make an appointment for service. Be sure to include your contact number. Describe the problem in detail, especially the steps you took to try to correct the problem. You will be contacted by the appropriate party.
